2 Ferries, 2 Busses, 2 Trains

After a wonderful breakfast at the hotel, our non-stop day of moving continued! We decided to go see the giant Budda and monastery in Lantau. The transportation in the title is how we got there and back, in exactly that order. First a ferry over to HK proper, then a ferry up to Lantau. A bus up to the big Budda, a 260 step climb up, then back down, a vegetarian lunch at the monastery, a bus to a subway stop, then two trains back to the hotel. It was cool to see, and on the bus trips got to see some awesome countryside and beaches. The monastery was BEAUTIFUL, we have lots of pictures from there.

After our return, we took a short nap then stopped off at an Irish pub for a beer and a snack that turned out to be our dinner because nothing else sounded good. Then we walked through Kowloon Park to the Temple Street Night Market (the third picture). It was full of people and little booths that they set up and 4pm. No buying, because our suitcases weight exactly what they need for the trip to Fuzhou. From there, we made the long hike back down to the waterfront for the laser show. They have laser lights on the top of many of the buildings, plus the buildings themselves have lights on the outside of them and do a show to music every night. It was really awesome. From there, back to the hotel, another shower, and crashed. Now we are up and on our way to breakfast. We are for sure going to Victoria Peak later today, not sure what else is on the agenda!

Thanks for all the comments, that made our morning!
