On Saturday, Echo, our guide/friend/translator/facilitator while we were in China (from Hong Kong, back to Hong Kong and everywhere in between) was in Springfield, IL for a reception hosted by Lifelink. They invited families to come and say "hi" to Echo. There were reports that they expected 35-50 families. They had WELL over 100, maybe even 200.
We drove over on Saturday afternoon, getting there in time to see lots of other families in the hotel restaurant, and have dinner with Amy, Jeff and Lily. It was unplanned, but much enjoyed as we happened to get there at about the same time.
After dinner, which consisted mainly of Olivia and Lily entertaining the lady in the booth behind us, we went to the reception. Since there were so many people, we (as in Michael and Jeff) had to wait in a long line to greet and have our picture taken with her. While the guys waited, Amy and I chased the girls around.
When we were done with pictures, we visited a bit with the Monday's - they were in our LID group, but switched to special needs and traveled to get their adorable daughter Maimie several months before we went. We then headed home - Olivia was asleep so after getting in the car.

That is so neat- she must have been overwhelmed by all of the families coming to see her.
(I just bought that dress for Mattea- so cute.)
They're so cute hugging each other!
